Description

There are silhouettes that do not ask for attention; they simply hold it. This brass necklace set carries the assured weight of a tradition that has long known its own worth. Spanning eight inches (approximately 20.3 cm) across the collarbone, the broad choker-style breastplate is worked in brass with a surface richness that recalls the oxidised temple jewellery of Nagercoil and the heavier antique-finish pieces that emerge from the ateliers of Rajasthan. The motifs, rendered in relief against the metal, have the quality of devotional ornament translated into everyday grandeur. Paired earrings, each standing two-and-a-quarter inches (approximately 5.7 cm) tall and one-and-seven-tenths of an inch (approximately 4.3 cm) wide, carry the same visual language. The set is offered in black and red, both finishes deepening the antique character of the brass. At 117 grams, the piece sits with genuine presence. Wear the red colourway against ivory chanderi or a silk tissue kurta for a festive afternoon gathering.
