Description

There are pieces that carry the memory of a courtyard, a festival, a grandmother's dressing table. This brass necklace set draws from the long tradition of base-metal jewellery that flourished in the workshops of Rajasthan and Bengal, where karigar families perfected the art of coaxing warmth and weight from brass long before gold became the only conversation. The metal is worked to a burnished, antique-adjacent finish that sits somewhere between old gold and raw earth, a tone that photographs as richly as it wears. The set reads as a full bridal or festive composition, the necklace accompanied by its matching earrings, the silhouette architectural and layered in the manner of traditional choker-collar constructions. Stone-like inserts, set in closed bezels, lend colour and focal depth without overwhelming the metalwork itself. Brass, when finished with this degree of care, develops a patina that is entirely its own. Wear the set with a silk chanderi kurta for a literary festival lunch, or let it anchor a heavily embroidered lehenga blouse at a mehendi ceremony where you want presence without the anxiety of fine jewellery. The earrings balance the necklace without competing for attention. The piece is offered in a single free size that accommodates most necklines comfortably. The brass construction means it is lighter on the neck than it appears, and the finish, sealed against daily humidity, is practical enough for extended festive wear across a full day's celebration.
