Description

The forest speaks in bone white and silver, and the Naga people have always known how to listen. Strung along a seven-inch (approximately 17.8 cm) length, these rounded white beads carry the unhurried authority of Nagaland's oldest adornment tradition. The Naga tribes of India's north-east have long fashioned their ceremonial jewellery from natural materials, shell, bone and seed, layered into statements of identity rather than ornament alone. This bracelet honours that lineage: the beads are cool and matte against the skin, their whiteness uninterrupted, their silhouette bold without being loud. At roughly 1.8 inches (approximately 4.6 cm) in height, the piece has genuine presence, a broad cuff-like stacking of strands that sits squarely on the wrist. The total weight of 28 grams lends it a satisfying, grounded feel, the kind that reminds you something was made with intention. Wear it against a hand-woven Muga silk kurta for a gathering that prizes cultural conversation, or let it anchor an otherwise spare linen ensemble on a weekend that calls for texture over colour. It pairs equally well with natural-fibre cottons from the north-east and cream chanderi. One size fits most wrists comfortably, with the elasticised or knotted stringing offering gentle give. The free-size construction means no fuss at the clasp, and the natural tones resist the seasonal colour fatigue that plagues trend-led pieces. A bracelet built, quite simply, to last.
