Description
There is a particular generosity to orange, the way it holds both warmth and ceremony in equal measure. This three-piece parure brings together a multi-strand choker, a pair of drop earrings and a mangtika, each strung with faceted orange stone beads set against brass findings finished in antique gold tones. The choker sits at a height of roughly six and a half centimetres, its layered strands building the kind of weight and presence that recalls the bead-and-metal traditions of Rajasthani folk jewellery, where colour speaks before form. The earrings, measuring approximately five and a half centimetres in height and just under three centimetres across, carry the same bead-work downward in a neat drop silhouette. The mangtika extends to roughly eighteen centimetres in length, drawing a clean line from the central parting. Brass gives the entire set its structure; at one hundred and thirty grams across the three pieces, the ensemble has an honest, satisfying heft. No stone is foiled or chemically treated to artificially brighten; the orange reads as warm and grounded rather than garish. Wear this as a complete set with a raw-silk anarkali in ivory or deep teal for a festive mehendi. The choker and mangtika together pair equally well with a mirror-work lehenga at a sangeet, where the brass picks up candlelight beautifully. The free-size construction means the choker adjusts to a range of neck lengths without alteration. Brass does not oxidise rapidly and responds well to a soft dry cloth after wear, keeping the finish intact across many seasons.
