Description

There are wrists, and then there are wrists that carry a story. This wide cuff speaks in the idiom of Rajasthan's bazaar ateliers, where brass is treated not as a lesser metal but as a living canvas. At six centimetres tall (2.4 inches) with an inner diameter of roughly five centimetres (2.1 inches), the silhouette is architecturally assertive: a broad, slightly curved band that rises from the wrist like a rampart. Across its face, multicoloured stones sit in collet-style settings, their arrangement suggesting the jewelled inlay sensibility of traditional Bikaner and Jaipur craftwork, translated here into an accessible, everyday idiom. The brass itself carries a warm, burnished tone, neither too raw nor too gilded, giving the stones room to speak. At ninety-one grams, the weight announces presence without exhausting the wrist. Wear it with an ivory cotton kurta and block-printed dupatta for a Sunday exhibition opening, where the cuff becomes the sole punctuation. Equally, slide it over the cuff of a tailored ivory silk blouse at a festive dinner, where it bridges the formal and the folk without apology. The open-cuff silhouette allows for gentle adjustment to suit most wrists, and the brass construction ages gracefully with minimal care. A soft, dry cloth restores its lustre, making this a piece that rewards keeping rather than occasional wearing.
