Description

There is a particular grandeur that belongs only to the groom, and this mala set understands that without apology. Polki, the uncut diamond's earthier cousin, has long been set in the courts of Rajasthan, where the flat-faceted stones were prized precisely for their raw luminosity. Here, the tradition finds a new expression in brass, worked into a multi-strand necklace that falls at a generous 20.30 inches (51.6 cm) and carries its 146 grams with the quiet authority of a ceremonial piece. Each strand is studded with polki stones in their characteristic irregular cuts, the settings holding each piece in a shallow bezel that lets the light pass through rather than trap it. The earrings, at 0.95 inches (2.4 cm) high and 0.65 inches (1.7 cm) wide, echo the necklace's geometry in miniature, maintaining the coherence of a considered set. Brass, chosen here over precious metal, gives the piece its warm, antique-adjacent tone and keeps the weight honest. The set is conceived for the groom's procession as much as the reception. Wear it over an ivory or champagne sherwani for the baraat, or pair it with a deep burgundy achkan for the evening ceremony, where the polki catches candlelight at its most flattering. At a free size with a fixed 20.30 inch (51.6 cm) length, the necklace suits most builds. The earrings fasten conventionally and are shaped for comfort across a long ceremonial day.
