Description

There are colours that do not merely complement a face; they complete it. This choker set draws on the twin vocabularies of Kundan setting and Meenakari enamelling, two disciplines that have long shared a home in the ateliers of Jaipur. The multi-strand beaded construction frames a central pendant nearly three and a half inches tall, its surface worked in the characteristic Kundan manner: flat-set foiled stones held in refined brass bezels, surrounded by the kind of meticulous enamel fill that karigar hands apply colour by colour, firing each layer to permanence. The pendant's proportions, 3.5 inches in height and just over an inch wide (approximately 8.9 cm by 2.8 cm), speak of deliberate restraint. The beaded strands carry the same palette, offered in both a deep botanical green and a softer sea green, each lending a distinct mood to the identical silhouette. The full set weighs 225 grams, a presence that is felt without being burdensome. Pair the green colourway with a silk chanderi kurta in ivory and gold zari at a mehendi ceremony, letting the Meenakari pendant become the evening's focal point. The sea green reads beautifully against a cream or pale gold Banarasi sari at a festive lunch.
