Description

There are devotions too precise for words, and then there are those cast in brass. This lapel pin distils the iconography of Shiva into a single, composed composition: the trishul rising at the centre, flanked by the damru, with a rudraksha bead anchoring the lower form in the tradition of sacred adornment. Cast in warm-toned brass and finished with the oxidised depth that recalls temple votive metalwork from the workshops of Varanasi and Bikaner, the piece carries its symbolism with quiet authority. At 3.45 inches tall (approximately 8.76 cm) and just 0.65 inches wide (approximately 1.65 cm), the silhouette is deliberately slender, upright and considered. Weighing a modest 6.02 grams, it sits without burden against any fabric, the rudraksha lending organic texture against the worked metal surface. Wear it pinned to the lapel of a raw-silk kurta for a Shivratri gathering, where it will read as devotional rather than decorative. It is equally at home on the chest pocket of a linen blazer worn to a cultural event or an art opening, a detail that invites conversation. The free-size pin back ensures a clean, secure fit on any collar or pocket edge, with no adjustment required. The brass construction is robust for daily wear and responds well to a soft cloth buff to maintain its warm patina over time.
