Description

There is a particular stillness to leaves caught just before the wind moves them, and this cuff holds that moment in brass and Kundan. The broad cuff form draws from the Rajasthani tradition of statement wrist jewellery, where the bracelet is not an accessory but an architecture. Here, a repeat of stylised leaf motifs spreads across a structured brass base, each leaf carefully inlaid with Kundan-set stones in either a deep, cooling green or a warm, concentrated red. Kundan work demands patience: a base is prepared, wax or lac is packed beneath each stone, and the gold-refined foil is pressed and burnished around the setting to hold the stone in place without prongs. On brass, the tradition finds a more accessible register while losing none of its visual authority. The finish is confident and substantial, the kind of breadth that reads clearly across a room. Wear the green colourway with a raw silk kurta in ivory or sage, or alongside a printed cotton saree at a daytime festivity. The red sits naturally against deep burgundy, black, or the warm ochre of a Banarasi tissue dupatta at a winter wedding or mehendi evening. The cuff measures an inner diameter of approximately four centimetres (1.6 inches), with a height of roughly four and a half centimetres (1.7 inches) and a width of nearly six centimetres (2.25 inches). At fifty grams, it carries a reassuring weight on the wrist without fatigue.
