Description

There are earrings that announce themselves, and there are earrings that simply belong. These Kundan earrings in deep forest green speak the language of the Jaipur atelier, where brass forms the structural backbone of a centuries-old setting tradition. In Kundan work, a core of lac is shaped beneath each stone, then strips of pure gold foil are pressed around it to hold the gem in place without prong or claw. Here, that same principle is rendered in brass, making the craft accessible without surrendering its essential grammar. The green stones sit encased in burnished gold-toned cells, each one catching light the way a still garden pool does at midday. The silhouette is a classic flat panel, layered and architectural, the kind Rajasthani workshops have refined across generations. The colour offered is a single, confident green, and the piece is free size, designed to fit any lobe without adjustment. Wear them with an ivory chanderi kurta for a weekday lunch where you want quiet distinction. For an evening gathering, pair them against a deep burgundy or teal silk sari and let the green read as a jewel tone in conversation with the fabric. The brass base gives these earrings a pleasing lightness for all-day wear. The finish is polished and consistent, with no raw edges. The closure, typical of this style, is designed for comfort through a full evening, requiring no particular care beyond keeping them away from moisture.
