Description

There are earrings that do not ask to be noticed; they simply are. Worked in the Kundan tradition that Jaipur's ateliers have refined across centuries, these brass earrings carry the quiet authority of a technique built on patience. A bed of lac-set glass stones is pressed flat against the brass base, each piece bordered by fine strips of gold-toned foil in the classic Kundan manner, creating that characteristic flat, luminous surface where light pools rather than scatters. The silhouette reads as a chandelier drop, structured at the top and gently broadening toward a lower tier, a form the Rajput courts favoured for its balance of grandeur and poise. Brass as a base metal brings an earthy warmth to the piece, holding the colour and the set stones with surprising solidity. The result is a jewel that looks far above its price point, rooted in a tradition far older than the metal itself. Pair them with a tissue silk saree for a festive afternoon, letting the flat Kundan face catch window light without competing with embroidery. They sit equally well over a fine cotton kurta at a mehendi or a curated ethnic gathering where one wishes to appear considered rather than costumed. Available in the colourway pictured, these earrings are offered in free size, suited to most ears. The closure is conventional, keeping the drop secure through long hours of wear. Brass is lightweight enough to be comfortable even when the visual weight suggests something heavier.
