Description

Where Radha and Krishna meet in colour and devotion, a necklace becomes an act of faith. Rendered in brass and set throughout in Kundan workmanship, this multi-strand long necklace carries the sacred imagery of Radha and Krishna at its heart. The technique is rooted in the courtly ateliers of Jaipur, where karigars press foil-backed stones into a lac base, building up colour field by colour field until a composition glows like a miniature painting. Here, that tradition is given devotional purpose: the divine pair presides over a layered cascade of strands finished in a vivid blue, with stone-studded drops punctuating each tier. The front panel falls a full 12 inches (approximately 30.5 cm), creating an unbroken vertical line of ornamentation. The earrings, measuring 1.8 inches (approximately 4.6 cm) in height and 1 inch (approximately 2.5 cm) in width, mirror the necklace's language precisely. The full set weighs 168 grams, present and substantial on the body without becoming burdensome. Pair this set over a deep teal or ivory silk saree for a Janmashtami puja or a festive sangeet, where its devotional subject and saturated colour will read with intention. It works equally well over a chanderi or cotton kurta in white or ochre for a heritage art walk or cultural gathering.
