Description

There are places where jewellery is not decoration but geography made wearable. This wide cuff carries the visual language of the high plateau: turquoise and coral set in repeating geometric clusters, framed by the bold silverwork that Tibetan and border-region craftspeople have refined across centuries of trade-route culture. The bracelet is formed in brass and finished with a silver polish that gives it the cool, weighted presence of older tribal metalwork without the fragility of fine silver. Imitation turquoise in that particular sky-to-teal range sits alongside coral-red resin or glass stones, the two colours chosen for their traditional symbolic pairing in Himalayan ornament. At 102 grams and standing nearly five centimetres tall (1.85 inches, approximately 4.7 cm), with an inner diameter of 2.2 inches (roughly 5.6 cm), this is a piece that announces itself. Wear it against a block-printed Kutchi kurta and raw cotton trousers for an afternoon where craft speaks to craft. Equally, a single cuff worn against a white linen shirt and wide-leg trousers bridges heritage and contemporary ease without effort. The open-cuff silhouette allows a gentle degree of adjustment at the wrist. The silver polish is applied over brass, so occasional wiping with a dry cloth preserves its lustre. At this weight and width, the bracelet sits firm rather than sliding, which makes it reliable for a full day of wearing.
