Description

The lotus does not merely grow in water; it is painted there, petal by patient petal, by a hand that knows the weight of stillness. This bracelet is wrought entirely in sterling silver, its broad cuff face spanning two centimetres (0.8 inch) in height and twenty-two and a half centimetres (9 inches) in length, making it generous enough to command the wrist without constriction. The defining gesture is the hand-painted lotus at its centre, a technique that recalls the enamelling traditions of Rajasthan, where colour is worked into silver with a restraint that pure Meenakari on gold can sometimes eclipse. Here, the palette is kept faithful to the piece as photographed, the bloom rendered with a precision that only deliberate, unhurried brushwork can achieve. At twenty-one grams, the silver carries real presence; you feel the metal, not merely wear it. Pair this bracelet with a hand-block-printed chanderi kurta for an afternoon gathering where heritage dressing speaks quietly. For evening, slide it onto a bare wrist above a silk organza sari blouse and let it hold the room without asking permission. The cuff is offered as a free size, its open form allowing it to settle comfortably across most wrist widths. Sterling silver at this weight develops a gentle patina over time, easily revived with a soft cloth. The bracelet requires no special storage, only the small consideration any well-made thing deserves.
