Description

There is a particular grammar to the garden that Jaipur's kundan workers have always understood. Each petal of the floral cluster at the centre of this bracelet is outlined in foiled kundan setting, the uncut glass stones pressed into a bed of lac and gold-toned brass with the patience that defines the craft. The green stones, cool and translucent, read like pale tourmaline caught mid-afternoon; they are set flush within polished bezels that trace the bloom from its heart outward. Brass lends the piece a warm, slightly antique glow rather than the severity of silver, and at twenty-five grams it carries real presence on the wrist without feeling ornate. The openable bangle form, a hinge-and-clasp construction, keeps the silhouette clean: a single wide band, one point four five inches tall (approximately three point seven centimetres) and two point four five inches across (approximately six point two centimetres), with an inner diameter of one point seven inches (approximately four point three centimetres). Wear it with a hand-block-printed chanderi kurta for an afternoon gathering, where the green catches the weave's depth. For a festive evening, pair it with a silk tissue lehenga in ivory or gold; the bracelet holds its own without competing. The free-size fit suits most adult wrists comfortably, and the hinged opening means it slips on without effort. The brass base resists everyday wear well; a soft, dry cloth is all it asks for.
