Description

There are brides who want to be seen, and then there are brides who want to be remembered. This multi-strand Kundan bridal set is built on the language of Rajasthani celebration: a wide choker, measuring ten centimetres across and sitting close at ten centimetres in length, layered beneath a long necklace that falls to sixty-one centimetres. Between those two registers hangs a pendant five centimetres tall and just over four centimetres wide, its Kundan-set face framed by faceted green beads whose colour carries the cool weight of forest-shade. The Kundan work, a technique refined over centuries in the ateliers of Jaipur, presses foiled stones into a brass base using pure gold leaf as the adhesive medium, so every motif catches candlelight without competing with it. The green bead drops move at the hem of each strand, adding rhythm wherever the wearer moves. Earrings at nearly seven centimetres tall and the maang tikka at just over eleven centimetres complete the set. The full ensemble weighs four hundred and seventy-six grams, a bridal weight carried with intention. Wear the choker alone with a silk tissue lehenga for a sangeet, letting the long necklace rest. At the wedding itself, layer both strands over a deep-bordered Benarasi and allow the maang tikka to anchor the parting. Both necklaces close on adjustable dori ties, accommodating different necklines and fits without alteration. Brass construction keeps the piece robust through long ceremonial hours.
