Cast in the South Indian temple tradition, this necklace and earring set centres on Goddess Lakshmi rendered in high-relief brass, a metal long favoured by temple craftsmen of Nagercoil and the Tanjore corridor for its warm, burnished resonance and structural strength. The pendant cascade measures a generous 6.5 inches (approximately 16.5 cm) in front length, layered with the dense, downward vocabulary of temple jewellery: lotus borders, scrolled creepers and devotional figuration that recalls the adornment worn by deity idols within Dravidian shrines. The paired earrings, 2 inches (approximately 5 cm) in height and 1 inch (approximately 2.5 cm) in width, mirror the necklace's architectural grammar.
