This necklace set carries the visage of Goddess Lakshmi at its heart, rendered in the temple jewellery tradition that once graced the sacred precincts of South Indian shrines and the devout courts of Rajasthan. The setting follows the discipline of Kundan and Polki work, where uncut stones are pressed into refined silver foil bezels against a sterling silver base, each facet left raw and sky-facing to catch light the way a flame catches devotion. Moissanite lends the piece its brilliance, set in the characteristically dense, layered composition of temple jewellery, where motif upon motif builds toward a front end that falls a full twelve inches (30.5 cm) from the base of the throat.
