Description

Geometry, it turns out, can be its own kind of poetry. Cut into clean, angular planes, these stud earrings draw on a tradition of lapidary geometry that runs through Indian silverwork from Rajasthan to the Deccan. The settings are fashioned in sterling silver, a metal long favoured by artisans for its cool, workable lustre and its honesty of surface. Set within the geometric silhouette are tourmalines in a scatter of natural colours, each stone a distinct temperament: the rosy warmth of pink, the sea-glass calm of green, the quiet depth of blue. No two stones read quite alike, which is precisely the point. Tourmaline is one of those rare gems that rewards closeness, its colour shifting softly with the light. The multi-stone arrangement is held in simple bezel or prong settings that let each colour speak without interference, the silver frame acting as a clean pause between them. Wear them with a handloom cotton kurta in the daytime, where they introduce a quiet flash of colour without competing. For an evening occasion, pair them against a silk blouse or a fine Chanderi dupatta, where the play of light across the stones becomes something worth noticing. Each earring measures approximately 1.3 cm in height and 0.8 cm in width, with a combined weight of five grams for the pair, light enough for all-day comfort. The sterling silver posts and butterfly closures make them straightforward to wear and easy to secure throughout a long day.
