Description

There is a particular pleasure in geometry made wearable, in the moment a pattern stops being abstract and becomes adornment. This cuff belongs to a lineage of structured brass jewellery that has long held its own alongside precious metals, particularly in the ateliers of Rajasthan and the workshop lanes of Jaipur, where craftsmen press coloured stones into geometric cartouches with the same deliberate care given to far more costly work. Here, a wide cuff silhouette, two inches (approximately 5.1 cm) across and set to an inner diameter of 1.4 inches (approximately 3.6 cm), carries a repeating geometric motif filled with stone-studded settings in either mint or blush pink. The brass base is finished to a warm tone that flatters both colourways. The stones sit in closed settings that hold colour without fuss, and the openable hinge at the back makes this a piece one can slip on and off without ceremony. At 25 grams, the cuff has genuine substance on the wrist without tipping into discomfort. Wear the mint with a hand-block-printed cotton kurta in ivory or sage for a weekend lunch that reads considered rather than costumed. For evening, the pink against a deep wine or black silk kurta lets the geometry do its quiet work. The hinged opening is smooth and secure, sized for most adult wrists. The brass construction means the cuff travels well and sits flush against the skin, a dependable everyday choice priced at Rs 3,995.
