Description

There are silences in silver that only granulation knows how to keep. This sterling silver bracelet belongs to a lineage of hand-worked metal that predates the Mughal courts, a tradition in which tiny spheres of silver are fused to a base without solder, creating texture that catches light the way morning dew catches grass. Each granule is placed with deliberate restraint, framing cabochon-cut ruby zoisite, a stone that holds within its single form both the deep green of zoisite and the ruby-red inclusions of corundum, two minerals grown together in the earth of Tanzania. The bracelet weighs 12.85 grams, substantial enough to feel purposeful on the wrist without ever becoming heavy. At seven inches in length (approximately 17.8 cm), it is offered in a free size that suits most adult wrists, and the sterling silver carries the cool, clean brightness particular to well-finished 925 alloy. Wear it with a handwoven khadi kurta in undyed cream to let the ruby zoisite read as the sole point of colour. It sits with equal ease against the cuff of a silk blouse at a winter wedding, where its granulated surface will hold candlelight long after the evening has settled. The bracelet closes with a secure clasp suited to daily wear. The granulation finish requires only occasional polishing with a soft cloth; the sterling silver will deepen to a gentle patina over time, making it more itself with every season it accompanies you.
