Description

There are flowers that bloom in gardens, and there are flowers fixed forever in glass and gold foil. This small kundan pendant speaks in the quietest register of Rajasthani craft. The motif, a single stylised bloom, is set in the kundan tradition: thin leaves of gold foil pressed firmly around uncut glass stones to hold them without prongs, relying entirely on the precision of the setter's pressure. Here, the base is brass, polished and finished to carry that warm, antique-adjacent glow that Jaipur's workshops have long understood. Measuring just 0.8 inches by 0.8 inches (approximately 2 cm by 2 cm) and weighing a modest 5 grams, the pendant is neither statement nor whisper but something in between. The floral form, a recurring archetype in Indian jewellery from temple necklaces to royal Jadau sets, is distilled here into its simplest, most portable expression. Wear it on a fine gold-toned chain over a chanderi kurta for an afternoon gathering, or thread it onto a delicate silk cord and layer it above a deeper kundan choker for a festive evening where restraint reads as intention. At free size with a standard pendant drop, it sits naturally at the collarbone on most chains. The brass construction keeps the weight easy for daily wear, and the kundan glass, protected within its foil setting, asks only for gentle storage away from moisture to hold its quiet brilliance across many seasons.
