Description

There is a particular stillness in a flower frozen mid-bloom, and Kundan knows this better than any other craft. This pendant necklace and earring set draws from the jewellery language of Rajasthan, where brass forms the structural soul beneath a surface of set Kundan stones arranged into a full floral motif. Each petal is outlined by the characteristic flat-set glass stones of the Kundan tradition, pressed into a lac-filled base so that no prong interrupts the surface. The pendant is generous in its presence, measuring nearly twenty centimetres in height (7.85 inches), while the earrings keep a more restrained proportion at approximately two point eight centimetres tall and just over one centimetre wide (1.10 inches by 0.45 inches). The whole set rests at a combined weight of 14.7 grams, light enough for a full evening without fatigue. The brass foundation lends a warm golden undertone that flatters the cold brilliance of the stones above it. Wear this with a deep-toned silk kurta for a festive evening gathering, where the long pendant draws the eye down a simple neckline. It is equally persuasive against the raw silk bodice of a lehenga at a wedding reception, where its floral geometry reads as both traditional and composed.
