Description

There are flowers that bloom only in the hands of a craftsman who has forgotten the concept of hurry. This choker set belongs to the Kundan tradition carried across the workshops of Rajasthan, where molten lac forms the hidden spine of every composition and foil-backed stones are pressed, one by one, into open gold-toned settings. Here, the motif is unambiguously floral: petals arranged in the repetitive, meditative grammar of a garden seen from above, each bloom anchored by a central Kundan stone and ringed by smaller inlaid accents. The base is brass, worked and finished to hold colour with warmth rather than cold brilliance. The set comes in two stone colours, a deep garden green and a soft rose pink, each shifting the mood of the identical silhouette from ceremonial gravitas to romantic ease. The maang tikka, at five inches in length and 1.85 inches wide (roughly 12.7 cm by 4.7 cm), carries the same floral vocabulary upward, unifying the composition from crown to collarbone. The whole set weighs 110 grams, a presence that is felt without being burdensome.
