Description
Peacocks have always known how to wear a garden on their backs. This bridal choker set draws from the ceremonial vocabulary of Rajasthani gold-finish brasswork, where the peacock and the lotus have long been considered auspicious companions in jewellery designed for threshold moments. The choker itself spans a generous fifteen centimetres across and rests at six and a half centimetres in depth, its surface densely worked with layered floral clusters radiating from a central peacock form. Kundan-style foiled settings hold coloured stones in a high-polished brass base, catching candlelight with the warmth of old gold. The matching earrings, measuring roughly six and a half centimetres in height and just over three centimetres wide, repeat the peacock motif at a smaller scale. The maang tikka, nearly nine centimetres long and three centimetres wide, falls at the hairline with the quiet authority of a bridal heirloom. Together the set weighs two hundred grams, a presence that is felt without being burdensome. Wear the set against a deep red or ivory silk lehenga for a wedding ceremony, where the tonal richness of the brass reads almost like antique gold. For a sangeet or mehendi, pair it with a heavily embroidered anarkali in emerald or cobalt. The choker fastens with an adjustable dori, allowing a comfortable fit across a range of necklines. The brass base is finished to resist everyday tarnish, and the stone settings are secured well enough to travel safely.
