Description

There is a particular kind of patience that turns copper into a garden. This floral earring draws on a tradition long practised in Rajasthan and Bengal, where artisans press botanical forms into base metal with the same care a painter gives to a miniature. The repeating petal arrangement, rendered in copper and set with small coloured stones across the face of each drop, has the density of a marigold seen close up. A freshwater pearl finishes each piece below, swinging gently from the lower petal tier and catching light with the soft, unpolished glow that only a real pearl carries. The warm, oxidised copper tone holds the composition together, letting the stones read as accents rather than spectacle. Each earring measures approximately 3.8 centimetres high by 2.8 centimetres wide and the pair weighs 25 grams, a presence that is felt without being heavy. For daywear, pair these with a handloom cotton kurta in ivory or rust; the copper and stone palette finds an immediate companion in earthy, vegetable-dyed cloth. For an evening gathering, wear them against a silk chanderi blouse or a Banarasi sari, where the pearl drop moves with every turn of the head.
