Description
There are gardens that bloom only in copper. This floral necklace set belongs to a tradition of stone-studded costume jewellery that draws its grammar from the opulent ateliers of Rajasthan, where karigar hands have long pressed coloured stones into floral medallions with the same devotion once given to Kundan and Meenakari courts. Here, copper forms the base, lending the piece a warm, burnished ground against which each stone-set blossom sits with quiet confidence. The choker's broad, horizontal sweep, measuring approximately five centimetres high and nineteen centimetres wide, recalls the padded neckpieces of Bikaner miniatures, dense with petalled geometry. The earrings descend nearly seven centimetres, echoing the same floral vocabulary, while the coordinating ring, roughly three centimetres long and two centimetres wide, closes the composition at the hand. Together, the full set weighs one hundred and thirty-two grams, substantial enough to feel ceremonial. Wear the choker set over an unstitched silk sari in ivory or deep turmeric for a wedding mehendi, letting the copper's warmth absorb the candlelight. It sits equally well over the high neckline of a Chanderi kurta at a festive lunch, where less ornamentation makes each stone count. The choker fastens on an adjustable dori, allowing the fit to be tailored across necklines without tools. The copper base resists bending under the weight of the stones, and the ring's inner diameter of roughly one and a half centimetres accommodates most standard fingers with ease.
