Description

Worn on the ear like a garden in full bloom, these jhumkas carry the quiet opulence of Rajasthani Kundan work rendered in warm brass. The floral motif is the heart of this piece. Each petal is outlined in the flat-set Kundan manner, where refined wax-backed settings hold stones flush against the base, creating a surface that catches light without glittering vulgarly. The brass foundation, worked into a layered floral face, gives the jhumka its structure and its weight, a comfortable 23 grams. Below the floral top, the bell-shaped jhumka drops to a total height of 4.4 cm (1.75 inches), spreading 2.4 cm (0.95 inches) at its widest point. Available in green and pink, each colourway shifts the mood of the piece entirely: the green reads earthy and classical, the pink festive and tender, both true to the spirit of bazaars in Jaipur where such ornaments have been fashioned for generations. For a silk kurta set at a mehendi, reach for the pink, pairing it with unstitched chanderi and kohl-lined eyes. For a cotton mul saree at a daytime puja or family gathering, the green settles into the occasion with effortless grace. At 1.75 inches in height, the jhumka is generous without being theatrical. The brass construction keeps the silhouette firm and the finish consistent across daily wear, making these an unhurried choice for the woman who dresses with intention rather than occasion.
