Description

Flowers, in Kundan, never wilt. Each earring is built around a layered floral medallion, its petals set in the classic flat-foil Kundan technique: glass or semi-precious stones pressed into a gold-toned lac bed within carefully raised brass walls, then burnished until every facet catches light from within rather than merely reflecting it. The jhumka bell that drops beneath the floral crown is the silhouette's quiet drama, a domed hemisphere fringed at its lower rim, swaying with the particular unhurried rhythm that only a well-weighted piece can achieve. At 22 grams the earring has genuine presence on the ear without being punishing. The brass base, finished in a warm gold tone, belongs to the long tradition of Jaipur's costume Kundan, where skilled karigars have long made accessible the aesthetic vocabulary of court jewellery. Wear them with a hand-woven silk chanderi kurta for a festive lunch, where the floral motif will read as deliberately chosen rather than merely decorative. For an evening reception, pair them against a Banarasi blouse: the jhumka's swing and the brocade's weight form an entirely satisfying conversation. The hook fitting suits most ear piercings without adjustment, and free size applies to the universal hook closure. At 22 grams the drop feels substantial and secure. The brass construction keeps the piece resilient through a full evening's wear; a soft cloth after each use will preserve the gold-toned finish season after season.
