Description
Flowers bloom in full Kundan fire, arranged in a crescent that has framed bridal faces for generations. The choker traces its lineage to the Kundan ateliers of Jaipur, where copper forms the structural heart beneath a surface worked in the time-honoured Jadau tradition. Flat-set Kundan stones, held by pure gold foil pressed against the copper base, catch and scatter light with an intensity no faceted cut can rival. The crescent silhouette is composed of layered floral medallions, each petal rendered in precise inlay, the arrangement building from a central bloom outward in diminishing scale. Meenakari work on the reverse, a signature of Jaipur's finest workshops, transforms the back of each piece into its own quiet painting. The set arrives with a matching maang tikka and drop earrings, the three together weighing a total of one hundred and ninety-four grams, a presence that is ceremonial without being burdensome. For a red Benarasi or a heavily embroidered Kanjeevaram, this choker reads as the anchor piece it was always meant to be. It sits equally well against the ivory and blush tones of a contemporary lehenga for a mehendi or a sangeet where the light is low and golden. The choker fastens with an adjustable dori and measures four point three inches, approximately ten point nine centimetres, in height. The earrings are three point two inches, approximately eight point one centimetres, tall and one point two inches wide. The maang tikka extends five point two inches. One size accommodates all.
