Description

There are stones that hold the sky inside them, and tanzanite is one. This wraparound bracelet is set in sterling silver, its slender band curving freely around the wrist in a continuous coil that needs no clasp to hold it. The tanzanite stones are faceted, each cut to draw out that signature shift between violet and deep blue, depending on the light that falls across them. White topaz, set alongside, acts as the cooler foil: colourless, precise, catching whatever the tanzanite does not. The setting is clean and silversmithed with restraint, allowing the stones themselves to carry the weight of the ornament. At just 6.55 grams and a length of ten inches (approximately 25.4 cm), the band is featherlight on the wrist, its free-size form bending gently to fit most wrists without adjustment. For daytime, this bracelet layers beautifully over the cuff of a fine cotton kurta in ivory or dusty rose, the violet of the tanzanite surfacing in the folds of fabric. For an evening occasion, wear it alone against bare skin with silk, and let the shifting colour do its quiet, insistent work. The bracelet measures 0.12 inch (approximately 0.3 cm) in height, keeping the profile low and easy to wear through a full day. Sterling silver at this weight neither pulls nor pinches, and the wraparound silhouette accommodates varied wrist sizes with equal grace, requiring no resizing.
