Description

There is a particular stillness to green, the colour of moss after rain, of leaves held up against afternoon light. This bracelet is worked in sterling silver, its links set with faceted green amethyst stones that catch light at every angle. Green amethyst, also called prasiolite, occupies a rare place in the gemstone vocabulary: neither the assertiveness of emerald nor the softness of peridot, but something coolly luminous between the two. The faceting here does deliberate work, each cut releasing the stone's pale aqueous green in small, precise flashes. Sterling silver, chosen for its cool white tone, complements the stone without competing; the metal's slight weight, kept honest at just 3.45 grams across the full bracelet, ensures the piece sits lightly on the wrist. The tradition of silver jewellery set with semi-precious stones has deep roots across Rajasthan and the craft clusters of Jaipur, where skilled karigars have long understood how to let a stone speak for itself. Wear it against a white linen kurta on a warm afternoon, or alongside a draped silk sari in ivory or sage for a formal occasion where restraint is its own elegance. The bracelet measures seven inches, approximately 17.8 centimetres, and is offered in a free size designed to slip comfortably over most wrists. The sterling silver finish is smooth and durable for everyday wear, resisting the sharpness of harder daily contact while keeping its understated lustre through regular seasons.
