Description

There are stones that hold the memory of ember and dusk inside their facets. These garnet tops are set in sterling silver, each stone cut to catch and fracture light across its deep burgundy planes. The faceted treatment is the point: not the smooth cabochon softness of older idioms, but the sharp, considered geometry of a stone allowed to speak its own vocabulary. Garnet in this register, a wine-dark red with warm violet undertones, has long been favoured in silver jewellery traditions across Rajasthan and Bengal, where the metal's cool lustre is understood to offset a stone's chromatic heat. The silver setting here is spare and purposeful, a minimal bezel or prong cradle that lets the gem's pavilion do its full work, throwing small fires at the collarbone. Wear these with a fine ivory cotton kurta for an afternoon that asks for quiet confidence, or against the silk of a wine-coloured blouse at an evening gathering where the garnet simply continues the conversation the fabric has already begun. Each top weighs a total of two grams and sits at a height of approximately 0.3 inches (roughly 0.76 cm), making them genuinely light against the ear for long hours of wear. The sterling silver construction resists tarnish with ordinary care and rewards a simple polish cloth. One size accommodates standard ear fittings.
