Description

There is a quiet confidence to jewellery that asks nothing of the occasion, yet transforms it entirely. Worked in warm brass and finished in the manner of traditional north Indian costume jewellery, these earrings carry the spirit of Rajasthani bazaar craft without apology. The square-ish form, measuring 1.4 inches by 1.4 inches (approximately 3.5 cm by 3.5 cm) on each side, echoes the geometric sensibility found in Jaipur's older workshop traditions, where flat metal sheets are cut, pressed and layered to build depth without excessive weight. The multi-coloured variant brings in the vivid palette beloved of that region, where Meenakari-influenced thinking colours everything from wall paintings to market stalls. The yellow colourway, by contrast, lets the brass itself speak, its warm oxidised tone sitting close to antique gold in both feeling and intention. At 22 grams the pair carries a satisfying presence without pulling at the lobe. For everyday dressing, pair the multi-coloured version with a block-printed cotton kurta and raw-silk dupatta for an afternoon of errands that feels considered rather than effortful. The yellow variant belongs equally to a festive evening, worn against a Banarasi blouse with a gathered skirt and minimal neck jewellery, letting the geometry do its work. Available in free size to suit standard pierced ears, the earrings sit close and square against the lobe. Brass wears honestly over time, developing character with each use, and is easily maintained with a soft cloth.
