Description

There is a particular geometry to Rajasthani adornment that has always felt less like decoration and more like architecture. This choker set draws on the Kundan tradition as it is practised across the workshops of Jaipur, where brass forms the structural foundation of pieces that would otherwise demand precious metals. Here, the base is shaped into a wide, latticed choker of interlocking geometric forms, each compartment set with flat-foiled Kundan stones in a deep, saturated green. The setting is characteristically precise: coloured glass stones are pressed into a gold-toned foil bed within brass casings, creating the luminous, slightly pooled appearance that distinguishes Kundan work from ordinary stone-set jewellery. The set is offered in mint green and black, and the earrings repeat the angular vocabulary of the choker at a smaller scale. The full set weighs approximately 150 grams, with the necklace spanning 7.5 inches (19 centimetres) in width and 2.6 inches (6.6 centimetres) in length, finished with an adjustable dori that ties at the back. The earrings measure 2.2 inches (5.6 centimetres) in height and 1.2 inches (3 centimetres) in width. This is a piece for the formal register.
