Description
There is a particular kind of grandeur that belongs to the chandelier form, and this set carries it with quiet authority. Kundan work, rooted in the ateliers of Jaipur, is the art of pressing uncut or flat-set stones into a bed of refined lac, then encasing each stone with thin foils of gold-toned metal to hold the light from within. Here, that discipline is applied to a chandelier silhouette, where tiered drops cascade in widening arcs, each tier structured so the whole earring moves as a single breathing form. Worked on a brass base, the setting achieves a warm, honeyed finish that is characteristic of this tradition. The maang tikka mirrors the earring's vocabulary precisely, its pendant dropping from a central disc to rest at the forehead's centre, completing the dialogue between face and ornament. Together they weigh approximately 101 grams, a presence that speaks to the density and seriousness of genuine Kundan craftsmanship. For a bride or a close wedding guest, pair the set with a silk tissue or heavy Banarasi saree in ivory, old rose, or deep burgundy. For a festive evening, it lifts a single-colour anarkali or a heritage lehenga with equal grace. The earrings measure ten centimetres in height by five centimetres in width; the maang tikka extends to roughly fourteen and a half centimetres by five centimetres. The free-size chain on the tikka adjusts easily, and the brass base keeps the construction stable across long wearing hours.
