Description

There are bridal sets, and then there are the ones that feel like a ceremony in themselves. This brass bridal parure arrives as a complete suite of six distinct adornments: a necklace set, mang tika, matha patti, hathphool, nose ring and long set, each piece conceived as part of a unified visual language rather than an afterthought assembly. Brass, long the foundation of Rajasthani and Bihari bridal traditions before it was replaced by gold in wealthier workshops, carries here a particular integrity: its warm ochre tone deepens under antique finishing to read almost like aged gold. The setting style, characteristic of pieces made for full bridal coverage, layers floral and geometric motifs across the forehead, palm and neckline in a manner that recalls the density of Jaipur's bazaar jewellers, where a bride's adornment was measured by how completely it completed her. The six-piece suite is designed for the full bridal moment: a heavy silk lehenga or a Benarasi saree in crimson, ivory or forest green will absorb its scale without competition. For a mehendi or haldi ceremony, pairing just the hathphool and mang tika against a simpler cotton or organza makes an eloquent, edited statement. All six pieces are free size, with the matha patti and hathphool adjustable at the chain. The brass construction keeps the set lighter than comparable silver sets. The antique finish is resistant to casual handling, though storing each piece separately in soft pouches will preserve its surface longest.
