Description

There are bridal sets, and then there are the ones that feel like a family heirloom the moment you lift them from the box. This six-piece ensemble, available as a complete bridal parure, brings together a hathphool, long set, mang tika, matha patti, necklace set and nose ring into a single coherent vision of the Indian bridal idiom. Crafted in brass with a warm, oxidised finish that reads like aged gold, it draws from the theatrical grammar of North Indian bridal jewellery: dense floral clusters, layered chains, and a weight distribution designed to frame the face and hands in equal measure. The brass itself is worked in a manner that references the Rajasthani tradition of costume jewellery produced in Jaipur and Bikaner, where karigar families have long pressed metal into elaborate botanical and paisley forms. Stone settings across the pieces follow a closed-back style, holding colour firmly in place through the ceremonies. Wear the full parure with a red or ivory silk bridal lehenga for a wedding or sangeet, letting the matha patti sit low across the forehead. For a mehendi or engagement, pair the mang tika and necklace set alone over a silk anarkali for a considered, lighter version of the look. All six pieces are free size, with the hathphool and nose ring designed for adjustable wear to accommodate most wearers comfortably. Brass carries its patina beautifully over time and benefits from dry storage between occasions.
