Description

There are bridal sets, and then there are compositions that dress a woman from crown to fingertip. This six-piece ensemble brings together the necklace set, mang tika, matha patti, hathphool, nose ring and long set into a single ceremonial vocabulary, each piece conceived as part of a whole rather than a collection of parts. Worked in brass with the warm, honeyed depth that Rajasthani ateliers have long favoured for bridal commissions, the set draws on a tradition of layered adornment where forehead, throat, wrist and hand are addressed simultaneously. The finish carries the burnished richness associated with antique-style craftsmanship, with surface detailing that suggests the kind of close, patient handwork that brings motifs to life without the need for precious stone to carry the narrative. The hathphool, which travels from bracelet to finger across a latticed bridge, is the quiet centrepiece of the composition. For the mehendi or haldi ceremony, the set reads beautifully against a raw silk or tissue lehenga in mustard or terracotta. For a temple or registered-marriage setting, pair it with a deep Kanjivaram or Banarasi in jewel tones, letting the brass warm against the weave. All six pieces are offered in free size, with the hathphool and long set designed to accommodate a range of hand proportions. The brass construction keeps the ensemble lighter than its visual weight implies, making it practical to wear across a long ceremonial day.
