Description
There are mornings when a garden insists on travelling with you. This choker set belongs to the long tradition of copper-base florals that Rajasthani karigar workshops have refined over generations, where the base metal is chosen not as compromise but as canvas. Each bloom in the repeating floral motif is rendered in a deep cobalt blue enamel, recalling the Meenakari tradition of Jaipur, where colour is fired into metal with the patience of a miniaturist. The necklace sits as a choker, measuring approximately five inches across and two inches in height (roughly 12.7 cm wide and 5 cm tall), its edges shaped to follow the collarbone. Pearl drops hang from the earrings, each pair standing three and a half inches tall and just under two inches wide (approximately 8.9 cm by 4.6 cm). The full set weighs two hundred and nineteen grams, substantial enough to assert itself, light enough to wear through an afternoon. Pair this set with a deep teal or ivory chanderi kurta for a festive lunch; it is equally at ease against the raw silk of a Banarasi lehenga at a mehendi or sangeet. The blue and pearl together hold a conversation with almost any cool-toned weave. The necklace closes with an adjustable dori, accommodating a range of necklines without alteration. The copper base gives the enamel a warm undertone that deepens under natural light, and the piece requires only a soft cloth to maintain its lustre between wearings.
