Description

There is a quiet drama to black onyx that has never needed an audience. The spindle silhouette is one of silversmithing's most considered forms: elongated, tapered, held in tension between two points. Here, a deep black onyx cabochon anchors each link, its surface unmarked and absolute, set into sterling silver bezels that have been worked to follow the stone's contour without overwhelming it. Sterling silver, at its truest, carries a cool grey lustre that neither competes with a coloured stone nor fades beside it, and this bracelet uses that restraint deliberately. The finish reads as polished but not flashy, the kind of surface that a silversmith in a Jaipur workshop might call sada kaam: plain work, done with care. At 8.4 grams, the piece has honest weight on the wrist, present but never heavy. For evenings, wear it against a raw silk kurta in ivory or charcoal, where the onyx reads almost architectural. For daily wear, it sits cleanly beside a crisp white cotton shirt or a linen kurta, adding exactly one note of intention to an otherwise understated look. The bracelet measures 8 inches (approximately 20.3 cm) in length and is offered in a free size format, which suits most wrists without adjustment. The sterling silver construction resists tarnish reasonably well with light care, and the bezel setting keeps the onyx secure for regular, unhurried wear.
