Description

A branch held still in silver, two birds caught mid-conversation against the quiet. Wrought in sterling silver, these earrings carry a motif that belongs to a long tradition of nature-inspired silverwork practised across craft centres from Jaipur to Bengal, where artisans have always found poetry in the ordinary world of gardens and trees. The silhouette is spare and considered: a slender branch extends downward, and two small birds perch along its length, their forms rendered with enough detail to read as portraits rather than symbols. At the base, a faceted gemstone drops like a single ripe fruit, offered in deep purple amethyst or warm-toned carnelian, each chosen for the way colour speaks against oxidised or polished sterling. The stone is set in a simple collet, allowing light to enter from all angles and animate the facets with movement. At 4 grams, the weight is honest without ever pulling. Wear them with a handloom cotton kurta in slate or ivory for a morning that asks for something thoughtful; or let them accompany a raw-silk blouse and a fine Chanderi saree for a festive lunch where restraint is its own statement.
