Description

She arrives garlanded in devotion, Goddess Lakshmi at the centre of every strand. The temple jewellery tradition has long held the deity as its highest subject, and this necklace honours that lineage without apology. Set in brass finished to a warm, antique-gold tone, the pendant carries a Kundan-set image of Lakshmi, her form framed by the flat-foil inlay technique that Rajasthani and South Indian karigars have practised across centuries. Multiple beaded strands fall in graduated layers, each bead catching light in the manner of devotional adornment worn in classical dance and ritual ceremony. The pendant measures 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) long and 2.6 inches (6.6 cm) wide; the necklace sits at 20.4 inches (51.8 cm), long enough to rest gracefully over a neckline. The matching earrings, 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) by 1.2 inches (3 cm), repeat the Kundan motif at a quieter scale. The complete set weighs 158 grams, a presence that is felt rather than ignored. Pair this set with a silk Kanjivaram or a rich Banarasi for a wedding reception; it reads equally well over a cotton handloom kurta at a festival puja, where its devotional character is most naturally at home. The brass construction keeps the set light enough for a full evening's wear. The free-size necklace closes securely and requires no alteration, while the earrings suit most piercings without discomfort.
