Description

There is a particular lightness that belongs only to long earrings worn in summer, and this piece captures it precisely. Fashioned in brass and set with faceted American diamond stones, these drop earrings draw on the sensibility of costume jewellery produced across Jaipur's smaller workshops, where stone-studded chandelier forms have long translated the grammar of Kundan into more accessible metals. The American diamonds, cut to catch and scatter light, are set in close formation along the length of the drop, giving each earring a column of quiet brilliance. The colourways, mint blue, mint pink and pink, are achieved through enamel or resin tinting of the settings, a nod to the pastel palette beloved of Rajasthani decorative arts. Each earring measures approximately 7.11 cm in height and 1.90 cm in width and the pair weighs 30 grams in total, a comfortable weight for a piece of this length.
