Description

There are prayers that one carries not in the hands but on the chest. The trishul has been the axis of Shaiva iconography for millennia, that three-pronged emblem of creation, preservation and dissolution held aloft by Adiyogi himself. This lapel pin renders the symbol in cast brass, a metal whose warm, ochre-gold tone has long been associated with temple votive objects across the subcontinent. The silhouette is slender and vertical, measuring approximately 8.5 cm in height and 2 cm in width, and the piece carries a considered weight of just over eight grams, enough to sit with presence without straining a lapel or collar. The brass is finished to a burnished warmth rather than a high gloss, giving the pin the quality of something devotional rather than merely decorative. No stones interrupt the form; the motif speaks entirely through line and proportion, in the restrained tradition of votive metalwork found across Rajasthan and the Deccan. Worn at the collar of a crisp ivory kurta for a cultural evening, or pinned to the lapel of a structured linen blazer for a gallery opening, it reads as both spiritual marker and considered aesthetic choice. It suits the man who layers meaning into what he wears. A single free-size clasp at the reverse secures the pin discreetly. Brass requires only an occasional wipe with a dry cloth to retain its patina, and its lightness makes it a practical daily companion for those who carry their devotion quietly.
