Description

Bridal adornment has always been a language, and this set speaks in the full, unhurried grammar of Kundan. Six pieces compose the ensemble: a choker measuring roughly ten centimetres by fourteen centimetres, a circular nath of about seven and a half centimetres in diameter suspended on a chain of fifteen centimetres, a maang tikka of nearly fourteen centimetres by five centimetres, a pair of earrings, a passa of approximately thirteen centimetres by six and a half centimetres, and a ring. Each surface is worked in classical flat-set Kundan, where highly refined wax or lac forms the core and foiled stones are pressed into gold-bordered bezels with the patient precision this north Indian tradition demands. The base is brass, finished to carry that deep, warm tone that complements the layered, polished settings. Motifs follow the vocabulary of the Jaipur bridal ateliers: floral clusters, geometric borders, and pendant drops that catch and hold light. The total weight of five hundred and fourteen grams gives the set a considered presence on the body. Wear the choker and maang tikka with a Benarasi silk lehenga for a wedding ceremony, or pair the nath and passa alone with a heavily embroidered Kanjeevaram saree for a reception. The combination of pieces allows for thoughtful layering across different events in a bridal calendar. The ring is free size and adjustable. Brass construction makes the set more resilient to daily handling than precious-metal equivalents at this price. Store away from humidity to preserve the Kundan settings and the warm finish.
