Description

There are naths that adorn, and there are naths that announce. This bridal nath belongs to the second kind. Worked in brass and set with uncut Polki stones arranged into a full floral bloom, it follows the tradition of large ceremonial nose rings that have graced bridal faces across Rajasthan and the wider northern plains for centuries. The Polki, left in its raw, unfoiled state, catches available light without theatrical sparkle, offering instead a quiet, mineral luminosity that suits the weight and seriousness of a wedding. The central floral motif radiates outward in graduated petals, each cupped around its stone, the whole composition held in a generous circular frame. A seven-inch (approximately 17.8 cm) draping chain completes the silhouette, connecting the ring to a hook worn at the ear or pinned into the hair, so the nath rests without strain. For the bridal lehenga in deep red or shaded coral, this nath reads as the face's true centrepiece, anchoring heavy Kundan or Jadau sets without competing with them. It is equally at home over a silk Benarasi saree for an engagement ceremony, where its scale commands the room before a word is spoken. The piece measures two inches by two inches (approximately 5 cm by 5 cm) and weighs twenty-three grams, substantial enough to feel present on the face yet balanced by the chain's distribution of load. It is free size, with a standard nose-pin fitting suited to most piercings.
