Description

There are bridal sets, and then there are the ones that feel like a ceremony in themselves. This five-piece ensemble in brass brings together the full grammar of a North Indian bridal trousseau: a necklace set anchoring the throat and collarbone, a mang tika descending the centre parting, a hathphool draping the back of the hand, a nose ring completing the profile, and a set of rings to finish each finger with intention. The brass base is worked in the tradition of Rajasthani bridal craft, where the metal is treated not as a substitute but as a material with its own warmth and weight, capable of holding intricate surface work, stone inlay and layered texturing with equal conviction. The cumulative effect reads as abundance without excess, each piece articulating its own vocabulary while remaining in quiet conversation with the rest. Worn together, the set belongs to a shaadi lehenga in deep reds or forest greens, where the brass reads like aged gold against heavy silk. Individually, the hathphool lifts a simple silk kurta, and the mang tika becomes the single ornament a mehndi afternoon actually needs. All five pieces are free size, designed to accommodate a range of hand and nose proportions without alteration. The brass finish resists daily wear reasonably well; keeping pieces away from moisture and storing them cloth-wrapped between occasions will preserve the surface richness over time.
