Georgette is a twisted-filament fabric that distorts under heat or rough agitation. Dry-clean this saree after every second or third wear to preserve the Kashida embroidery threads, which can loosen if soaked. If hand-washing is necessary, use cool water and a capful of mild pH-neutral liquid; never wring or twist. Roll gently in a clean cotton towel to absorb moisture, then hang in shade. Store flat or loosely rolled in a soft muslin cloth, never on a wire hanger. Keep away from direct sunlight, which fades aqua tones faster than most colours.
