Our story

Exotic India began in 2018, in a small studio in Hauz Khas, over cups of masala chai and a growing frustration — India's incredible textile traditions were disappearing, and modern buyers had nowhere to encounter them thoughtfully.

Today we work with 42 craft clusters across 17 Indian states, from Banaras weavers to Kutchi block-printers, from Lucknowi chikan artisans to Kanchi silk families.

Every piece we ship carries a small handwritten note about who made it, and where.
